The gem of California, Santa Barbara is located on the coast of California, a couple of hours north of Los Angeles.  It’s surrounded by sandy beaches, the Santa Ynez Mountains, incredible seafood restaurants and outdoor bars, and is even home to some of the best wine-growing lands in the country.  At every turn, you’re surrounded by gorgeous landscapes.

This is why, after spending three wonderful months in Santa Barbara being a travel nurse, I wake up every day with the desire to go back.  With beauty meeting you at every corner, it’s impossible to resist the laid back lifestyle that Santa Barbara provides.  From gazing up at palm trees to staring in awe at the majestic mountains and the vast ocean, there’s a landscape to suit everyone in Santa Barbara.  There’s also clean streets, sunshine, wildlife, all the wine you could wish to drink, plus tasty food at every corner.

Particularly beautiful at sunset, the best time for Santa Barbara photos seems to be in the winter months when the sun drops early, lighting up the sky intense colors of red and yellow tones. Or during the day when you’re at the beach!  Blue skies and ocean as far as your eye can see.  Or take yourself to State street to photography people enjoying themselves on outdoor patios or shopping at the high-end shops that litter the street.

So you see?  Santa Barbara is truly beautiful and unique.  It’s an ideal destination to get outside and explore the beauty of California.
