I worked as a NICU nurse in Saudi Arabia in 2022. Since then, I’ve received thousands of social media messages asking how to get a job as a nurse in Saudi Arabia and what agencies recruit nurses to work in the Kingdom. This post will give you an idea of who to reach out to if you want to work as a nurse in Saudi Arabia as well as share the most important things to look for when choosing a company.
Please note, I got my job in Saudi Arabia with the company Helen Ziegler. I would highly recommend them, but I am also listing other companies you can work with too.

Ben Khan & Associates
LOCATED IN: USA
Ben Khan & Associates specializes in placing nurses (and other healthcare professions) in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar. One thing that I appreciate about this company is that they’ve made it a point to visit Saudi Arabia so that they can understand the landscape and needs of the hospitals. They work with nurses from the US and Canada.
CCM Recruitment International
LOCATED IN: AUSTRALIA, UAE, ENGLAND, & CENTRAL EUROPE
CCM has been around for over 25 years and every senior level recruiter at the company are healthcare professionals that have experience working overseas. Not only does CCM specialize in staffing nurses in Saudi Arabia, but they also staff in the UAE, Australia, Ireland, and the UK.
Helen Ziegler
LOCATED IN: CANADA
As I mentioned earlier, when I worked in Saudi Arabia I went with Helen Ziegler. Everyone was kind, helpful, and organized. It was truly a seamless process and the team was there to support me every step of the way.
My only complaint would be that I had a bonus tied to the end of my contract and because I got fired due to a disagreement with a doctor in patient care, I didn’t receive the bonus. I’m unsure if this was a hospital policy or a company policy but I would be hesitant to move forward with any contract that ties a large bonus to the end of the contract.
(I was working in Riyadh at KAAUH in the NICU and would not recommend anyone to work at that hospital in that unit because they have many issues that have not been resolved.)
Don’t miss…
Medacs Healthcare
LOCATED IN: UAE & ENGLAND
Medacs Healthcare has been around since 1990 with operations across the UK, Ireland, Middle East, India, Australia, and New Zealand. Not only do they staff nurses, but they staff most professions in healthcare.
PE Global Healthcare
LOCATED IN: IRELAND, ENGLAND, & INDIA
PE Global staff nurses in the UK, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, and more. They’ve won multiple awards, have been around for 18 years, and recruit for 12 sectors. Interestingly enough, PE Global Healthcare started out as PharmEng, a company that offered engineering services to pharmaceutical companies in Europe. They started to recruit healthcare professionals years later and rebranded to PE Global in 2010.
We Care International Nursing Recruitment Agency
We Care is a bit different than the companies previously mentioned. We Care specifically focuses on staffing nurses from Africa to work in Saudi Arabia. Their in-depth knowledge of the African nursing landscape and their understanding of the unique requirements of the Saudi Arabian healthcare sector allow them to be successful in supporting nurses from Africa looking for a job in Saudi Arabia.
What to Look for in a Company

Below you’ll find what I consider to be non-negotiable when moving to Saudi Arabia. Basically, the least that your company should be doing for you and providing seeing as you’re moving across the world to Saudi Arabia.
- Covers all housing costs
- Covers cost of moving (i.e. plane ticket)
- Covers cost of visa/residency/nursing license
- Provides support 24/7 if anything were to go wrong
- Covers plane ticket back home one time/year (this is once your contract ends or if you sign another year long contract they should allow you time to go home in-between)
