FAQ

Q:  “What’s the best area to stay at in Bangkok?”

  • A:  There’s so much going on in Bangkok that no matter where you stay you’re bound to be near attractions, restaurants, bars, and best of all some type of street food market.  With that being said, my favorite areas in Bangkok are Sukhumvit, Sathorn, and Langsuan.

Q:  “Should I stay in a rental property or a hotel?”

  • A:  When deciding whether to stay in a rental property or a hotel, there are a couple of things I keep in mind.  First – when am I arriving to the city?  If I’m arriving early in the morning, I think you’re better off staying in a hotel so that even if you can’t check into your room, you can at least leave your bags at the hotel.  Second, when are you leaving the city?  Again, rental properties have much stricter guidelines for check-in and check-out and they usually can’t store your luggage.  If you’re not leaving the city until late at night you might want to choose a hotel so that you know you’ll be able to store your luggage.  And third, how many people are you traveling with?  Rental properties are a great option if you have more than two people in your group and can greatly cut down on costs.

Q:  “How many days is enough for Bangkok?”

  • A:  I think that spending 3-4 days in Bangkok is sufficient.  The city is enormous and there’s so much to do; giving yourself ample time will allow you to visit the impressive markets, do some shopping, visit the temples, and more.
