Before I get into telling you what I like about working with Host Healthcare, and even some things that I dislike about the company… I’m going to tell you why I’m qualified to write this post – and why you should trust me!
I have been a travel nurse (on and off) since 2016 (I’m currently writing this post in 2023) – 7 years. I have seven years of experience with great travel nurse agencies, awful travel nurse agencies, fabulous recruiters, lackluster recruiters – trust me when I tell you that I have seen it all! Throughout my seven years, I’ve truly enjoyed working with Host Healthcare. While they haven’t always been my “go-to” company, I’m always excited about landing an assignment with Host. (By the way, I always recommend working with two recruiters at once; you can read why here). Below I’m going to tell you what I like about working with Host Healthcare and what I dislike about working with Host Healthcare, so buckle up!

What I Like About Working with Host Healthcare
My favorite thing about working with Host Healthcare is that I’ve never once felt pressured to do something that I haven’t wanted to do. I feel heard by the recruiters at Host, I feel like they truly have my best interest at heart, and they aren’t pushing me to do anything that I don’t want to do. (Which I have experienced with other companies unfortunately).
When I take an assignment with Host, I know that I’m in good hands and if something goes wrong, I know that they are there to help me out. I also want to point out that when COVID was rampant (in 2020), Host had a PAID sick leave policy. (That’s something that was difficult to find anywhere else). From my understanding, they still have a COVID policy regardless of your vaccination status.
What I Dislike About Working with Host Healthcare
I have to grasp at straws here because there isn’t much that I dislike about Host Healthcare, but I have heard from other travelers (with Host) say that they have at times, had difficulty getting in touch with their recruiter. Again, I haven’t experienced this but when you speak to a recruiter I suggest asking what their boundaries are with their phone and if it’s an emergency situation, who you should get in touch with. (Fill out this form to speak with a recruiter).
Host Healthcare Reviews
Like I mentioned earlier, I love Host and after reading some of the reviews across the internet, other travelers love Host too!
